Manoj Kumar’s mother was admitted in Tis Hazari Hospital with her ailing younger son Kuku. Due to the riots, she was not getting treatment from the doctors in the hospital. She was facing a lot of problems due to not getting treatment.

Manoj Kumar was seeing all this in front of his eyes. Seeing the condition of his mother, Manoj could not control himself and beat the doctors and nurses with a stick. After this incident, a ruckus started in the hospital. During this time Manoj Kumar’s father somehow managed to calm the situation. His father made him swear that he would never riot again. According to Manoj, he respected that all his life.

Another incident related to Manoj Kumar’s life is when he became addicted to alcohol. Due to excessive alcohol consumption, his weight started increasing. Manoj went into depression. In 1983, Manoj Kumar’s father died in a tragic incident. This news broke the actor from inside and he went into deeper depression.

It is said that Manoj’s father had gone to worship at the Vrajeshwari temple. While returning, he asked the driver to stop the car near Bhayander Bay. After this, he reached the old bridge to throw flowers in the river. During this, he lost his balance and fell into the river. He was searched for several days. Later his body was recovered.
