A shocking incident has come to light from Sangli, Maharashtra. Here a woman has killed her husband with an axe. Police have identified the deceased as Anil Lokhande while the accused woman has been identified as Radhika Lokhande. Police investigation has revealed that Anil and Radhika were married just three weeks ago.
According to the police, there was a fight between the two late on Tuesday night. After this, when Anil fell asleep at around 12:30 in the night, Radhika attacked his head with an axe. Anil died on the spot in this attack. After the murder, Radhika informed her cousin about it. Police arrested the accused woman on Wednesday and produced her in the court, from where she has been sent to two-day police custody.
Assistant Inspector Deepak Bhandavalkar of MIDC Police Station said that in the preliminary investigation, the reason for the murder is believed to be family discord. Bhandavalkar further said that based on the complaint by the deceased’s relative Mukesh Lokhande, a case has been registered against the deceased’s wife Radhika under Section 103 (1) of the BNS, and investigations are underway.
