A tragic accident occurred involving Sai Baba devotees returning from Shirdi to visit Sai Baba. Three people were killed and four injured in the accident.
In the Erandgaon Raite Shivaraat area of Nashik’s Yeola taluka, a car carrying devotees returning from Shirdi Sai Baba’s darshan lost control and overturned. Two people died on the spot and five others were seriously injured in the horrific accident.
Upon receiving information about the accident, villagers and police rushed to the scene and immediately rushed the injured to Nashik for treatment, but another injured person succumbed to his injuries on the way. The remaining four are being treated at a private hospital in Nashik.
According to local police, their Fortuner car lost control and overturned. Information about the accident is being gathered based on nearby CCTV footage.
It should be noted that a fatal road accident also occurred in Maharashtra’s Washim district on October 18th. Three Myanmar nationals died on the spot and three others were seriously injured in the accident near Dawa, under the jurisdiction of the Jaulka police station, on the Samruddhi Highway.
The Innova car that was involved in the accident was traveling from Mumbai to visit Jagannath Puri in Odisha. All the passengers were residents of Myanmar. Due to high speed at night, the driver lost control of the car and it collided directly with the road divider. The impact was so severe that the front portion of the car was completely damaged. Preliminary investigations concluded that speeding and the driver’s negligence were the causes of the accident.
