महाराष्ट्र के मंत्री छगन भुजबल को मिले धमकी भरे 12 मैसेज

Maharashtra Food and Civil Supplies Minister Gan Bhujbal has received messages threatening his life 12 times in a row on his phone. Officials gave this information on Friday.

Bhujbal, a prominent OBC leader, has faced the wrath of the Maratha community for his staunch opposition to granting quota from the existing OBC reservation.

NCP (Ajit Pawar) group leader Manoj Ghodake has lodged a complaint at the Pundalik Nagar police station in the city, famous for the Ajanta-Ellora cave temples.

An aide in Nashik said while the police were investigating the matter, the minister was going ahead with his planned tour schedule.

Officials said a man named Saudagar Satnak has allegedly sent dozens of messages from his mobile number, threatening to eliminate Bhujbal for his recent statements.

The minister has been receiving regular death threats for the past few weeks after Shivba outfit leader Manoj Jarange-Patil and other Maratha groups launched their reservation agitation in August.

76-year-old Bhujbal, considered the ‘Messiah of OBCs’, is currently on a tour of some areas devastated by the recent unseasonal rains/hailstorms and is facing massive protests in various villages for his anti-Maratha stance. His convoy was stopped and after he left, local people purified the roads with cow urine.

As a precautionary measure, Maharashtra and Mumbai police have increased personal security cover and beefed up security outside Bhujbal’s home and offices in Mumbai and Nashik.
