Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has given this information on social media platform X.
PM Modi wrote on Twitter, ‘I am very happy to inform that Shri Lal Krishna Advani ji will be honored with Bharat Ratna. I also spoke to him and congratulated him on being honored with this honour. One of the most respected politicians of our times, his contribution to India’s development is unforgettable. His life starts from working at the grassroots level to serving the country as our Deputy Prime Minister. He also made his mark as our Home Minister and Information and Broadcasting Minister. His parliamentary interventions have always been exemplary and full of rich insights.
It is said that Lal Krishna Advami had changed the politics of the country through the Ram Mandir movement. Veteran BJP leader Advani had started the Ram Mandir movement in 1990. Lal Krishna Advani was born in Sindh province of Pakistan. His early education took place in Karachi. It is claimed that he studied at St. Patrick’s High School with former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf. After that he studied from Sindh College. Later his family came to Mumbai. When Lal Krishna Advani was 14 years old, he joined the Sangh. He joined Jan Sangh in 1951. After that he supported Janata Party in 1977. BJP emerged in 1980.
