Monalisa, who sells garlands in Yagraj Mahakumbh, is all over social media. Because of her beautiful eyes, 17-year-old Monalisa has become an internet sensation overnight. This teenager is fed up of going viral on social media and more people are coming to see her than to buy garlands.
Due to this, she is now preparing to return to her home in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh. Probably she will return in a day or two.
Viral girl Monalisa Ghosale is a resident of ward number-9 of tourist town Maheshwar in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh. Currently, she has gone to Mahakumbh to sell garlands with her parents. Earlier, Monalisa was said to be a resident of Indore.
Monalisa’s grandfather Laxman Ghosale told that he got leases to build a house 20 years ago. Since then, he lives here by building a kutcha-pukka house. His family brings raw material from Varanasi and Haridwar and makes garlands here. A garland costs from 20 rupees to 10 thousand rupees. It includes garlands of Rudraksha and other beads.
Being in the business of garlands for many years
Monalisa’s grandfather told that the family has been making and selling garlands for many years. They go to sell garlands in Omkareshwar, Mandu, Maheshwar and other religious places or fairs.
Two sisters and two brothers
Grandfather Laxman told that Monalisa has one sister and two brothers. The granddaughter goes with her parents to sell garlands in Omkareshwar, Mandu, Maheshwar and other religious places and fairs.
Foreign customers are also coming
Every day some video of Monalisa, who reached Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, goes viral. Now foreign customers are also coming to buy Kanthi-Mala from her. While media cameras talk to her throughout the day.
Monalisa is very happy. She says- “I can’t believe that crores of people know me now. Perhaps I have become a celebrity.”
