Police have arrested two accused from Chandigarh for the murder of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena President Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has taken this action in collaboration with Rajasthan Police. According to senior Delhi Police officials, the accused have been brought to Delhi. From here he will be handed over to Rajasthan Police.
In Jaipur, two attackers named Rohit Rathore and Nitin Fauji shot dead Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi at his house in Jaipur. Both the accused had reached Gogamedi’s house through a person named Naveen Shekhawat. Naveen Shekhawat was also shot dead by the attackers as he escaped.
Police are confirming their claims that the murder was due to caste rivalry. Gangster Rohit Godara, close to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi after Gogamedi’s murder, had taken responsibility for Gogamedi’s murder in a Facebook post. Rajasthan Police had said that this link would be investigated after the attackers are caught.
