Due to overnight rain, the water level of Jammu’s Tawi river has increased and the river is in spate. A person got stuck in the strong current of Tawi river. A rescue operation was conducted to save him. The SDRAAF team took the person out of the river safely.
Orange alert issued in many districts
The Meteorological Center Srinagar has issued an orange alert in many districts of Jammu division till June 27. There will be a danger of landslides, floods and falling of stones from the mountains due to heavy rain. Wind will blow at a speed of 40 to 50 km. There may be relief from heat in Kashmir as well.
Chances of continuous rain till June 30
Amarnath Yatra is starting from July 3. Before this, monsoon has become active in many districts of Jammu division and there will be rain. Districts Rajori, Reasi, Ramban, Jammu, Udhampur, Samba, Kathua, Doda will be more affected by the orange alert. There are chances of continuous rain till June 30. The minimum temperature here was recorded at 27.3 degrees Celsius.
