Roads in several areas were inundated with water, while a thick layer of hailstones blanketed the fields, leading to extremely dire conditions in rural regions. Two people have lost their lives in this calamity. Meanwhile, half a dozen people—including a female councilor—have sustained injuries.

A tragic incident unfolded in Madhi Jetpura village within the Lahar region, resulting in the death of a farmer named Sanjay Singh Rajawat. Reports suggest that he had taken shelter under a neem tree to protect himself from the rain and hailstorm. Suddenly, a mishap occurred, causing his death on the spot. This incident falls under the jurisdiction of the Roun police station area. Following the event, an atmosphere of mourning has enveloped the entire village, and the bereaved family members are inconsolable in their grief.

In the Mau region, strong winds and heavy rains caused the wall of a house to come crashing down. This tragic accident claimed the life of 9-year-old Ragini Yadav, while approximately half a dozen other people sustained injuries. The injured were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
Major Disaster Averted in Mihona; Councilor Injured
In the Mihona region, a large tree toppled onto a house during a storm. Fortunately, a major disaster was averted; however, the falling tree caused a wall to collapse, injuring Pooja Kushwah—the councilor for Ward No. 2—who was caught in the debris. She was taken to a hospital for medical attention, where she is currently receiving treatment.

In Machhand village, a neem tree suddenly crashed down due to strong winds. A young man passing by on a motorcycle at the time had a narrow escape. The youth was returning home from a shop. The impact of strong winds was also evident on local infrastructure. A mobile tower tilted over, raising concerns that network services in the area could be disrupted. Heavy rainfall led to waterlogging in several locations. The inundation of roads disrupted traffic and commuting, causing significant inconvenience to the public.

This natural calamity has had the most severe impact on farmers. Standing, ripe crops in the fields were completely flattened, while harvested crops left in the fields were destroyed by the rain and hailstorms. Farmers have suffered heavy financial losses, and months of their hard work have gone to waste.

People have been advised to avoid standing in open spaces, near trees, or near unstable structures during adverse weather conditions to prevent accidents. Furthermore, efforts were made—with the aid of a JCB—to clear trees that had fallen onto the roadside due to the severe storm, ensuring that no further accidents would occur.
