Notorious gangster Salman Tyagi, lodged in Mandoli Jail No. 15 of Tihar Jail in Delhi, has committed suicide.

Big news has come from Mandoli Jail in Tihar in Delhi. Here in Jail Number 15, notorious gangster Salman Tyagi allegedly committed suicide. According to the information, the jail administration found Tyagi’s body hanging from a sheet.
Salman Tyagi had been convicted in the MCOCA case. Dozens of serious criminal cases including murder, extortion and Arms Act were registered against him. After the incident, the jail administration has started investigation and information about the whole matter has been given to the higher officials.
The court had recently acquitted him
Salman Tyagi was accused of attacking the Deputy Jail Superintendent of Tihar Jail. However, Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court had recently acquitted him in this case. The court said in its verdict that the prosecution failed to prove the allegations beyond doubt.
This case is of the year 2021, when an FIR was registered in this regard at Hari Nagar police station. It was alleged that the accused had assaulted and manhandled the Deputy Jail Superintendent while appearing in the VC room during video conferencing (VC).
During the hearing of the case, Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Bharti Garg acquitted Salman Tyagi after considering the evidence and arguments. The court also said in its order that the FIR was not registered on time and the complainant had enough time to fabricate and distort the report before filing the complaint. In this way, the court found the prosecution’s story unreliable and acquitted Salman Tyagi of the charges.
