An FIR has been registered in Hamirpur against two people including a Maulana for posting on social media in support of Palestine. Police say that their posts had created a possibility of disturbance of peace in the area. There was anger among the people also. Both the accused are being searched.

A Maulana in Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh posted a video on social media in support of Palestine. As soon as the video went viral, the police registered an FIR against two people including Maulana. In this case, it is being alleged that Maulana has been arrested from the mosque, while the police is denying this.
Actually, an FIR has been registered against two youths of Maudha town for posting on Instagram in support of Palestine in the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas. Police say that this action of the youth had created a threat to the peace of the town.
In the complaint given by Inspector Ravi Mehta posted at Kotwali, it has been said that Maulana Atif Chaudhary, resident of Haidaria Mohalla of the town, wrote I Stand with Palestine in his Instagram profile photo. Posted in support of Palestine on the night of October 8.
On October 12, a similar message was spread on the WhatsApp status of a youth named Suhail Ansari. Also objectionable language was used. Because of this, an attempt was made to spoil the religious-social harmony of the town. Anger has spread among the people of the other side and there is a possibility of breach of peace.
