Four people, including a woman, died in this accident, while many others were seriously injured.

It is learned that the car is registered in the name of Hitesh Vinubhai Patel. Giving information about the accident, Gandhinagar SP Ravi Teja Vasamsetti said that the name of the accused is Hitesh Vinubhai Patel. At around 10:30 am on Friday, the accused Hitesh Patel was seen overspeeding. He had hit many people with his car. The injured are being treated and the FSL team is on the spot.

Superintendent of Police Ravi Teja Vasamsetti further said, “This is a tragic incident. This accident happened due to drunk driving. We are investigating the matter thoroughly and strict action will be taken against the culprit.” The police have arrested the driver. Also, the investigation of the accident has started on the basis of CCTV footage and statements of local people.

On March 6 this year, a truck loaded with potatoes collided with a jeep in Sabarkantha district, in which three people died and 19 were injured. Apart from this, five people died in a horrific road accident in Surendranagar, Gujarat in February.
