There is news of cloudburst in Thathri sub-division of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. The cloudburst has caused massive destruction. It is being told that more than 10 houses have been destroyed.

Cloudburst has caused havoc in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir. More than ten houses have been destroyed in the sudden flood. Relief and rescue operations are being carried out in the area. The administration is trying to reach the people as soon as possible. According to reports, the Chenab river in Doda is flowing at a very dangerous level. The gates of Baghliar Power Project and Salal Project may be opened to prevent any damage to the dams.
SDM Arun Kumar Badya had told before the incident that due to continuous rain for the last 72 hours, some houses have developed cracks. About 4-5 houses are in danger. They are not fit for living. We are sending the affected families to nearby government institutions and other safe places. All the houses are being assessed. We will send a report soon. Our priority is to take people to safe places.
