Hajj flight faces wheel glitch at Lucknow airport; smoke, sparks seen

After landing at Lucknow Amausi Airport on Sunday morning, while going to the taxi-way, sparks and thick smoke started coming out from the left wheel of the Saudi Arabia Airlines plane. This plane had returned from Jeddah with Haj pilgrims. As soon as the spark was detected, the pilot informed the air traffic controller. After this, the fire team immediately reached the spot and controlled the situation by pouring foam and water. After this, all the passengers were safely disembarked. Then the passengers breathed a sigh of relief.

What is the whole matter?

According to the information, Saudi Arabia Airlines plane SV 3112 took off from Jeddah Airport at around 11:30 pm on Saturday night. There were 242 Haj pilgrims in this plane. This plane reached Amausi Airport at around 6:30 am on Sunday. According to sources, after landing on the runway, the plane was coming on the taxi-way. Then sparks along with smoke started coming out from near its left wheel. Seeing this, the pilot informed the air traffic controller.

After this, the fire safety team vehicles present at the airport reached the spot. The situation was brought under control in 20 minutes by throwing foam and water. During this time, the passengers were inside the plane. When the passengers came to know about the incident, they panicked. After controlling the situation, the plane was pushed back and brought to the taxiway. The passengers were safely disembarked there.
