Due to the effect of a new western disturbance, hailstorm occurred in Churu district of Rajasthan while rain occurred at many places. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information. The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in many parts of the state during the next week.
According to the Jaipur Center of IMD, hailstorm occurred in Churu district in the last 24 hours till Sunday morning. During this time, light to moderate rain occurred at many places in the capital Jaipur as well as Baran, Sirohi, Nagaur, Jodhpur, Bikaner and Pali districts.
Many districts including Jaipur received rain after a strong storm on Saturday evening, due to which people got relief from the scorching heat due to a drop in temperature.
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no severe heat in the state for the next one week. It has predicted strong thunderstorms at a speed of 40-50 kmph with thunder, lightning and light to moderate rain in many parts of the state due to the activation of western disturbances one after the other.
Similarly, there is a possibility of intense thunderstorms, strong storms with speed of 40-50 kmph and moderate to heavy rains in some parts of south-western Rajasthan during May 5 to 7. While on May 6 to 7, there may be heavy rains at some places in Barmer, Jalore and surrounding districts.
