A heartbreaking road accident occurred in Gurugram, adjacent to the capital Delhi. The tragic accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. near Exit 9 on the Delhi-Gurugram-Jaipur National Highway 48, when a speeding Mahindra Thar car lost control and collided with the highway divider.
Four of the six young men travelling in the car died tragically on the spot, while another died on the way to the hospital. One young man was seriously injured and was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital, where his condition remains critical.
As soon as the police received information about the accident, the patrol team present at the scene arrived and began rescue operations. Police recovered the bodies from the damaged Thar car and immediately rushed the injured to the hospital. Due to the accident, traffic on the highway was disrupted for some time, but was later restored.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the Thar car was moving at a very high speed and the driver likely lost control of the vehicle, leading to the accident. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation, attempting to ascertain the cause.
The process of identifying the deceased and informing their families is underway. This tragic incident has spread grief in the area. Residents say that such accidents have become common due to speeding vehicles on this highway.
