Heavy rains have caused devastation in Gujarat. Due to rise in water level in Narmada and other rivers, low lying areas were flooded and many villages were cut off. During this period, about 9,600 people from five districts were evacuated to safe places and 207 people were rescued.
After rain in Ahmedabad, water logging situation occurred in many areas of the city. Authorities closed the underpass to traffic as a precaution.
