A quack doctor who has been practicing without formal medical education for two decades has been caught in Vadodara.

Getting treatment from such doctors is no less than inviting death. Some have been treating people without any degree for many years without any fear. One such case has come to light in Vadodara. A quack doctor who has been practicing without formal medical education for two decades has been caught here.
Asim Kumar Sankhari was treating people without a license in Raipur village of Vadodara. Officials received information about this on Monday. Sankhari, originally from West Bengal, has no formal medical education, but he managed to open and run his own clinic while defrauding countless patients over the years.
Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested Sankhari and seized medicines and cash from his clinic. It is believed that this amount of money was collected from unsuspecting patients who trusted him with their health matters.
This revelation has left district health officials worried. Due to which the credibility of the clinics operating in the area is now being thoroughly reviewed. The matter is still under investigation.
Vadodara Rural SOG conducted a thorough investigation to verify the qualifications of the doctors. Earlier in 2021, Dr. S.S. Sir and Dr. S. Biswas was found practicing medicine in Dabhoi without a valid degree.
