A man and his wife allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance in Gujarat’s Sabarkantha district. The couple’s three minor children also consumed the substance, police said on Sunday. The actual reason behind the incident in Wadali town is yet to be ascertained, an official said.

“From there, they were referred to the civil hospital in Himmatnagar in the afternoon. The couple later died during treatment,” he said.
A case of accidental death has been registered at the Wadali police station and the reasons behind the step are being investigated, the official said.
The deceased have been identified as Vinu Sagar (42) and his wife Kokilaben (40). His children – his 19-year-old daughter and sons aged 17 and 18 – are undergoing treatment, police said.
