Built at a cost of 1.02 crores in the then state of Uttar Pradesh, this bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the state at that time. The bridge was constructed by the Uttar Pradesh Government Works Department. The special thing is that in Rishikesh two bridges have been built to cross the two banks of the river.
