Five people including four children travelling on a motorcycle were killed after being hit by a speeding canter in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district. A police official gave this information on Thursday.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Vineet Bhatnagar said that Danish (40), a resident of Rafiqnagar locality in Hafizpur area, along with his two children Mayra (11) and Samaira (10) and brother Sartaj’s children Samar (eight) and Mihim (10) had gone on a motorcycle to bathe in the swimming pool at an acquaintance’s farm house late on Wednesday night.
He said that while returning, a speeding canter hit their motorcycle outside ‘Miniland School’ on Bulandshahr road, killing all five on the spot.
Bhatnagar said that the police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. The police have taken the canter into custody and its driver is being searched.
