Heavy rains caused flash floods in a village in Ramban in the early hours of Sunday. More than 100 people were rescued safely with the help of relief teams. Officials said that due to continuous rains, there have been incidents of landslides and soil collapse at about 12 places between Nashri and Banihal on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Due to this, traffic on the highway had to be stopped. Three people died in a cloudburst incident in Seri Bagna village of Ramban district. Two real brothers Aqib Ahmed and Mohammad Saqib are also among the dead.
Flood damages about 40 houses
Heavy rains in Jammu region have killed 5 people in two days so far. In the latest case, two people, including a woman, lost their lives due to lightning in Arnas area of Reasi district late Saturday night. Another woman was injured in this accident. About 40 houses have been damaged due to sudden floods in Dharam Kund village of Ramban district. Despite continuous rain and cloudburst, the police reached the spot and rescued more than 100 villagers safely.

At the same time, the road has been completely closed due to landslides, soil collapse and stone falling at many places between Nashri to Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
