Three members of the same family tragically died in a massive fire that broke out in the capital city on Tuesday morning, January 6th. Firefighters who arrived at the scene found the bodies of a husband, wife, and their child inside the house. The cause of the fire is still unknown. The police have taken custody of the bodies and sent them for post-mortem examination.
The incident occurred in Majlis Park, Adarsh Nagar, Delhi. According to reports, a fire suddenly broke out in a building of DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) quarters in Adarsh Nagar, North-West Delhi, on Tuesday morning. The flames were so intense that a couple and their 10-year-old daughter died on the spot.
Three lives lost from one family
Upon receiving the information, fire tenders rushed to the spot and began the firefighting operation. After considerable effort, the fire was brought under control, but this tragedy claimed the lives of three members of the same family. The deceased have been identified as Ajay Kumar (42), his wife Neelam (38), and their daughter Janhvi.
The incident occurred on the 5th floor
Firefighters who arrived to help reported that the fire started on the fifth floor of the building. The flames were so intense that they were spreading to other flats. The firefighters bravely brought the fire under control, but the scene inside the flat was horrific. The husband, wife, and child were found dead, severely burned.
