Today, Northeast India was shaken by an earthquake. An earthquake of magnitude more than 5 has occurred, due to which no damage has been reported so far, but an atmosphere of panic prevails among the people.

The country’s land shook today due to strong tremors of earthquake. This afternoon, an earthquake of magnitude 5.6 hit the northeastern states including Manipur, Assam, whose intensity was measured at 5.6 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of this earthquake was found at a depth of 10 kilometers below the earth near Imphal in Manipur.
Although there is no news of any loss of life or property due to the earthquake, but there is an atmosphere of panic among the people. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS) and Germany’s Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ), the epicenter of the earthquake was 29 kilometers from Chongdan in Manipur. Earthquake tremors were also felt in Myanmar.
Earthquake hit Myanmar this morning
Let us tell you that earlier this morning an earthquake had also occurred in Myanmar, whose intensity was 4.7 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of this earthquake was found at a depth of 10 kilometers below the earth, 32 kilometers away in Myanmar. People were so scared by the sudden earthquake that they came out of their homes.
In the last 2 months, earthquakes have occurred in Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Faridabad, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tibet, Bihar, Nepal. Last year in 2024, earthquakes occurred in countries all over the world throughout the year. The earth kept shaking due to continuous earthquakes. Earthquakes caused massive destruction in Tibet at the beginning of this year.
