Jehanabad District Magistrate Alankrita Pandey has confirmed this. District Magistrate Alankrita Pandey said, “Jehanabad district 7 people died and 9 were injured in a stampede at Baba Siddhanath Temple in Makhdumpur, Uttar Pradesh. We are keeping an eye on everything and the situation is under control now.”

The incident took place at sunrise on Monday morning. Relief and rescue operations are underway with the help of policemen and volunteers posted in the temple area. The injured were rushed to the district hospital. District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police reached to take stock of the situation
