Partho Ghosh died due to heart disease. He lived in Madh Island area of ​​​​Mumbai. He is now survived by his wife Gauri Ghosh. The news of his death has deeply shocked the film industry.

In 1992, Partho Ghosh made the film ‘Geet’. Avinash Wadhawan and Divya Bharti played important roles in this film. His film ‘Dalaal’ was one of the highest grossing films of 1993. Many actors like Mithun Chakraborty, Ayesha Jhulka, Raj Babbar, Tinnu Anand, Shakti Kapoor, Ravi Behl, Satyen Kapoor, Indrani Banerjee, Tarun Ghosh and Ravi Behl worked in this film.

Apart from this, the 1996 film ‘Agni Sakshi’ was well liked by the audience. It was a box office success. It starred Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar and Manisha Koirala in the lead roles.

By 2015, Partho Ghosh had directed and written more than 15 films. Another of his hit films was ‘Tiesra Kaun’, which was a remake of the 1990 Malayalam film ‘Number 20 Madras Mail’. This Malayalam film was directed by Joshiy and Mohanlal was in the lead role. In 2010, Partho Ghosh directed two more films ‘Ek Second… Jo Zindagi Badal De?’ and ‘Rahmat Ali’.

Partho Ghosh’s last film was the romantic drama ‘Mausam Ikrar Ke Do Pal Pyar Ke’ which came in 2018. The film featured Mukesh J Bharti, Madalsa Sharma and Avinash Wadhawan in lead roles.
