People of the Namdev community live in this village. There is a statue of Ravana approximately 41 feet high here. Special rituals are being performed here on the occasion of Dussehra. On the occasion of Dussehra, a battle between Rama and Ravana takes place here, and before the burning, locals also seek forgiveness from Ravana.

Similarly, in Vidisha district, there is a village called Ravana, where Ravana is worshipped. A reclining statue of Ravana is present. The majority of the village is Brahmin, and this statue is worshipped on the second day of Dussehra. A temple dedicated to Ravana has also been built in the village. The villagers consider Ravana their ancestor and call him Ravana Baba.
