Three children and a woman were killed when a tree fell on a house in Najafgarh area of Dwarka due to heavy rains in the national capital on Friday morning. Officials gave this information.
A Delhi Fire Service official said, “We received information about the collapse of a house in Kharkhari Canal village of Najafgarh at 5.25 am. We deployed several teams on the spot and rescued four people from the debris.” The woman’s name was reported to be Jyoti (26). Her husband Ajay was also injured in the accident, but his condition is out of danger.
The official said that these people were taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared them dead. He said, “We have informed the police about the matter.” The incident took place when it was raining with strong winds. The tree suddenly broke and fell on the tubewell room, where the family was staying. The impact was so strong that the wall of the room collapsed. Jyoti and her three children died on the spot after being buried under it.
