In Delhi, some boys tied a 26-year-old man to a pillar and beat him to death, suspecting him to be a thief. A police officer gave this information on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Isar, a resident of Sunder Nagri.

According to the police, a call was received at 10:46 pm on Tuesday, in which fruit seller Abdul Wajid told that when he reached home at around 6:30 pm, he saw his son Isar lying outside the house.

DCP (North-East) Joy Tirkey said, “Isar had injury marks all over his body and was in pain. Isar told him that some boys had caught him near G4 Block, Sunder Nagari, around 5 am on Tuesday. They thought he was a thief and tied him to a pole.”

“They beat him with sticks for some time. The attackers have been identified as some boys living near G4 block in Sunder Nagari area. After some time, his neighbor Aamir brought him home in a rickshaw,” the DCP said.

“Isar died at his home around 7 pm on Tuesday. Abdul Wajid called the PCR and informed the police. The body was taken to GTB hospital. The post-mortem will be conducted today,” the DCP said.

“A case of murder is being registered and efforts are being made to identify and arrest the boys who attacked Isar,” the DCP said.
