Delhi | 2 Kids Among 4 Killed As Massive Fire Breaks Out in Residential Building in Shastri Nagar

Four people have died after a massive fire broke out in a residential building located in Shastri Nagar area of Shahdara, Delhi. Nine people, including two children, were taken out and sent to the hospital. Police gave this information.

A senior police officer said, “We received information about a massive fire in Shastri Nagar near Geeta Colony at around 5.20 am. We immediately informed Delhi Fire Service. A police team, four fire engines, ambulance and PCR van were sent to the spot.

Police said that the building in which the fire broke out has four floors and there is car parking on the ground floor. He said the fire started from the parking lot and the smoke spread throughout the building.

“Despite the street being narrow, fire officials managed to reach the spot and control the fire,” the officer said. Every floor was searched. Three men, four women and two children were evacuated from there and sent to Hedgewar Hospital.
