Violence has flared up again in Manipur. Two people were killed in heavy firing in fresh incidents of violence at the confluence of Imphal East, Kangpokpi and Ukhrul districts on Saturday.
The violence hit areas where gunfire broke out between two armed groups, an official said. Heavy police force has been deployed under the leadership of senior police officers. As soon as the security forces reached the area, the people from the armed groups ran away. There is tension in the area.
