In the latest incident, an elderly man was shot by fearless criminals near the main gate of Civil Court in Arrah in broad daylight on Thursday. The elderly were seriously injured in this incident, who have been admitted to the hospital.
According to Arrah police, a person was shot by criminals near Ramana Maidan, a short distance from the court gate. The injured person is Gopal Chaudhary (62), who is accused in a murder case in 2016 and is on bail. In this case, the elderly man had come to the court with his son for appearance.
Gopal Chaudhary was coming to appear in the court in the morning when armed criminals came from nearby and shot him and fled away. The incident created chaos on the spot. The elderly man was immediately admitted to the hospital in injured condition, where his condition is said to be out of danger.
Regarding this incident which took place in broad daylight in the city, Bhojpur Superintendent of Police Pramod Kumar Yadav said that the criminals have been identified and raids are being conducted to nab them. He has said that mutual rivalry was the reason behind this incident. He said that the police is investigating the matter thoroughly.
