A magisterial inquiry has been ordered by the government into the incident of violence, arson and disturbance in Banbhulpura, Haldwani.

There was a huge disturbance on January 8 in Banbhulpura of Haldwani city under Nainital district of Uttarakhand. In this, many vehicles were burnt by the miscreants. Heavy stones were pelted at the police. Many police personnel were injured in this incident. Death of 5 people has been confirmed in this incident. Also, more than 300 people have been injured in this violent incident.

Internet is banned in the city. After the violent incident in Banbhulpura, the police has now started action against the miscreants and rioters. Police have arrested 5 people so far. Police have named 19 people in this case and a case has been registered against 5,000 unknown people.

Uttarakhand government seems to be strict regarding this matter. The government has ordered a high-level magistrate inquiry into this incident. Radha Raturi, Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand Government, has directed the Commissioner of Kumaon Division Nainital in this regard.

It has been said in the order that a magisterial inquiry is being ordered into the violent incident that took place in Banbhulpura. An impartial magistrate inquiry should be conducted into this incident and the report should be submitted to the government within 15 days. A copy of this order has also been handed over to Director General of Police Dehradun, District Magistrate Nainital and Senior Superintendent of Police Nainital.
