Constable Kills Colleague in Bihar’s Bettiah Police Line Shooting, Fires 11 Rounds

A sensational news has come out from Bettiah Police Line of Bihar, where a constable opened fire on his own fellow soldier. In the incident, constable Sonu Kumar died on the spot. The accused constable Paramjit has been taken into custody by the police.

The police line was shaken by the sound of bullets. Constable Paramjit fired a total of 11 bullets one after the other on Sonu Kumar from his INSAS rifle. There was chaos in the entire police line.

After the incident, the attacking constable Paramjit climbed on the roof of the police line with an INSAS rifle, and the police had to work hard to bring him under control. Later the police arrested him and at present SDPO Vivek Deep is interrogating him in Mufassil police station.

On receiving the information of the incident, DIG of Champaran Range Harkishore Rai reached the spot and started an in-depth investigation of the entire matter. At present, the body of the deceased constable Sonu Kumar is lying in the police barrack, the investigation of which is going on.

In the preliminary investigation, it is coming to light that there was a dispute going on between the two constables regarding something, which became the reason for this tragic incident. It is being told that both of them were transferred from Sikta police station to Bettiah Police Line a few days ago and were posted in the same unit.

DIG Harkishore Rai said that according to preliminary information, there was an old dispute between the two constables. The accused has been arrested and interrogation is going on. The case is being investigated from every aspect.
