The people of the country have been hit by inflation during the festival season. Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have increased the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 209 from today (Sunday). After the increase in prices, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will now be Rs 1,731.50 from October 1. The immediate impact of this increase will make eating out costlier.
The decision comes just a month after OMCs cut commercial LPG cylinder prices by a steep Rs 158 from September 1, taking their price to Rs 1,522 in the national capital.
The latest hike in commercial LPG cylinder prices comes just a month after the Center cut domestic LPG cylinder prices by Rs 200 for all connection holders across the country in August.
Monthly revision for both commercial and domestic LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) cylinders is done on the 1st day of each month. Earlier in August also, OMC had reduced the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 99.75.
