The party taunted and asked whether this time also PM Modi will give a clean chit to China and say – no one has entered.
Meanwhile, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh has issued a statement attacking the Modi government. Ramesh said in his statement, “A fresh video of the clash between Indian herdsmen with the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China has surfaced. This video once again exposes the Modi government’s claims that everything is fine on the Line of Actual Control (LAC). In this video from January 2024, it is seen that PLA soldiers with armored vehicles are stopping Indian herders from reaching the grazing areas near Patrolling Points 35 and 36 in Chushul sector and harassing them. These pastures fall in areas claimed by India. “Indian authorities have reportedly asked the herders not to return to the area.”
He further said, “For four years, the Modi government, with its DDLJ policy—Deny, Distract, Lie and Justify—has brought India the most difficult border crossing in six decades. Tried to cover up the biggest failure. Chinese troops are preventing Indian patrolling troops from reaching the strategically important Depsang plains, Demchok and other areas of eastern Ladakh. “Despite 18 rounds of military talks, China is occupying 2,000 square kilometers and is not allowing us to go there.”

The same sources had earlier also revealed how Indian troops have lost access to 26 out of 65 patrolling points and that the Modi government has agreed to a buffer zone under which India will give up its claim to the forward area.”
Jairam Ramesh said that PM Modi has not only failed to restore the previous situation in Ladakh in four years. Despite their empty claims of India’s victory in Doklam in 2017, China has increased its dominance over Bhutan’s territory in the last 6 years. This is a big threat to India’s Siliguri Corridor, which is also known as Chicken Neck. China is continuously strengthening its hold in Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives and India is responding to this with social media campaigns and banning Chinese apps.
He said that due to PM Modi giving clean chit to China on June 19, 2020, its hold on our areas is becoming stronger. Then he had said, “Neither has anyone entered our border, nor has anyone intruded.” His statement was a grave insult to our soldiers martyred in Galwan. Our soldiers are being insulted even more by schemes like Agneepath. Because the discrimination under this breaks the morale of the soldiers and weakens the provisions made for their welfare.
Jairam Ramesh said in his statement that the Congress party will continue its fight for justice for our soldiers through the ‘Jai Jawan’ campaign. We will also strive to provide justice to our displaced herders who have been forced to be at the mercy of PLA patrolling forces.
He said that PM Modi should take the people of the country into confidence and tell them when and how the situation will be restored.
