He said that immediate relief of Rs 25,000 each was provided to the families of the deceased, while the remaining compensation amount of Rs 5.75 lakh was to be given after completing the necessary procedures. Officials said that 38 elephants are roaming in four forest areas in Jashpur, out of which 15 elephants are roaming alone. They said that in the last one month, wild elephants have killed a total of nine people in the district. The terror of wild elephants continues in Surguja, Jashpur, Korea and Korba districts of the northern region of the state. Three people were killed in a wild elephant attack in Korba on Thursday.
