It is noteworthy that in Chhattisgarh, voting is going on for 20 seats under the first phase. Many of the seats in Chhattisgarh where voting is to be held today are in Naxal-affected Bastar division. Voting will start from 7 am to 3 pm in 10 seats of Chhattisgarh, Mohla-Manpur, Antagarh, Bhanupratappur, Kanker, Keshkal, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Dantewada, Bijapur and Konta. In the remaining 10 seats Khairagarh, Dongargarh, Rajnandgaon, Dongargaon, Khujji, Pandariya, Kawardha, Bastar, Jagdalpur and Chitrakote, voting will start from 8 am to 5 pm. Out of the 20 seats on which voting is taking place today, 19 are held by the Congress. The party had won two out of these 19 seats in the by-elections.
