Chhattisgarh elections | Campaigning will stop this evening, voting on November 17

Voting is being held in two phases for 90 assembly seats in the state. Voting was held on 20 seats in the first phase and voting on 70 seats is going to be held in the second phase which will be held on November 17.

The noise of campaigning for the second phase of Chhattisgarh assembly elections in 70 assembly constituencies will stop by 5 pm today on Wednesday.

Voting is being held in two phases for 90 assembly seats in the state. Voting was held on 20 seats in the first phase and voting on 70 seats is going to be held in the second phase which will be held on November 17.

According to the rules, campaigning on public platforms will be prohibited 48 hours before the end of voting. During this period, candidates will be able to do public relations by going door to door.

A total of 958 candidates are trying their luck in 70 assembly constituencies in the second phase, of which 827 are male, 130 female and one of third gender.

During the second phase of voting, one crore 63 lakh 14 thousand 479 voters of the state will exercise their franchise, which includes 81 lakh 41 thousand 624 male voters, 81 lakh 72 thousand 171 female voters and 684 third gender voters.

A total of 18 thousand 833 polling stations have been set up to ensure smooth voting. Of these, there are 700 Sangwari polling stations where only women polling personnel will be posted.

In the second phase of assembly general elections in Chhattisgarh, voting will be held in 70 assembly constituencies on November 17. For this, the time fixed from 8 am to 5 pm has been fixed. Voting will be held from 7 am to 3 pm only at nine polling stations in Bindranavagarh assembly constituency. Apart from these, in the remaining polling stations of Bindranwagarh, like other 69 assembly constituencies, voting will be held from 8 am to 5 pm.
