A man in Delhi was attacked and then shot with a knife by four men with whom he was drinking alcohol. An officer has given this information. This incident, which took place on Friday in North-East Delhi area, was captured in CCTV cameras.
The injured person has been identified as Sameer Ahmed, a resident of Shastri Park area. In his statement to the police, he accused Bilal, Saud, Firoz and Salim of attacking him. When the criminals chased the victim, bystanders tried to intervene. One of the people who came to intervene was slapped, after which they proceeded to attack Ahmed with a knife.
After Ahmed fell in front of a grocery store, the shopkeeper started closing the shop. Soon after, one of the attackers sped away on a scooter, while the rest followed on foot, leaving Ahmed on the ground. A senior police officer said that the incident took place near Buland Masjid at around 8.30 pm.
A police officer said, “We received a call about the firing incident at Shastri Park police station, following which a police team reached the spot. Ahmed was found injured. He was taken to JPC Hospital, from there to GTB Hospital and Then he was referred to RML Hospital for better treatment.”
The officer said, “Ahmed told the police that Bilal, Saud, Firoz and Salim attacked him with a knife, after which Bilal shot and injured him. They stabbed him several times before fleeing from the spot. The four accused are absconding.” Raids have been started to arrest him.”
