Monsoon has knocked in Uttarakhand. After this, people have got relief from the heat in the entire state. On the other hand, the first rain of monsoon also showed its havoc.

Due to the rain in the state, the water level of the rivers is continuously increasing. Due to heavy rains in the hilly areas, the water level of the Ganges river as well as all the tributary rivers of the state has risen. This has exposed the preparations of the administration.

Vehicles floating like straws

Vehicles were swept away in the water like straws in the first monsoon rain in Haridwar on Saturday. Heavy rains in the northern areas of Haridwar caused waterlogging on the roads. Water entered people’s houses, as well as the cars parked outside were swept away in the Ganges. Due to rainwater coming into the dry river near Haridwar’s Kharkhari crematorium, many cars were swept away like straws in the Ganges river.

A huge crowd of people gathered here on seeing the cars floating in the Ganges. Some people captured this incident on their camera. After which these videos went viral on social media throughout the day and were shared by users. The rain has also caused damage to the local people. The daily life of the people has been badly affected.

The administration has started relief and rescue operations. People have been appealed to be alert. This time the Meteorological Department had already issued a warning of excessive rain in the state. After which all the departments have also completed their preparations. Now the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in the state for the next few days.
