A local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader allegedly fired bullets in the air and vandalised an eatery in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. Police have registered a case in this connection after a video of the incident went viral.
A police official said on Sunday that the accused Sagar Zila Panchayat member Sarabjit Singh also allegedly misbehaved with a policeman present at the spot in plain clothes.
Police inspector Sumer Singh Jaget said that a case has been registered against Sarabjit Singh and three others under various sections of the Indian Justice Code and the Arms Act in connection with the incident.
No arrest has been made even five days after the incident that took place on Tuesday at a dhaba on the Sagar-Lalitpur national highway.
