A mad dog bit and injured 15 children in Deh Madhopur village of Mohanpur block area of Samastipur district of Bihar. Three children were referred from Mohanpur Hospital to Sadar Hospital in critical condition. But due to serious condition, the children were referred from Sadar Hospital to Patna. The incident happened on Saturday night. Regarding the incident, family members said that a dog bit more than a dozen children while walking on the road. Due to which an atmosphere of panic was created among the people of the village.

The family reached Mohanpur Hospital with all the children. Where considering their condition, three children were referred to Patna for better treatment. In this regard, a doctor of Sadar Hospital said that till now five children have been brought to the hospital after being bitten by dogs. The wounds are such that it is difficult to get stitches. Anti rabies serum has to be given to everyone, but it is not available here. For this reason three children are being sent to DMCH. Whereas a girl’s nose was bitten by a dog so badly that she was referred to PMCH for plastic surgery.
