While going to Guptadham on Wednesday, a pickup van went out of control and fell into a ditch in Chenari police station area of Rohtas district of Bihar. Four people died in this accident, while 20 people are said to be injured. All those who died are women.
According to the police, many people from Shahpur in Bhojpur district were going in a pickup van to visit the temple of Gupta Dham Mahadev. Meanwhile, near Gaighat of Chenari police station, the van went out of control and fell into a ditch on the roadside.
Chenari police station in-charge Ranjan Kumar said that in this accident, four women died on the spot, while about 20 other people were injured. All the injured have been admitted to the local hospital for treatment.
He said that the deceased have been identified as Meena Devi, Parmeshara Devi, Chandravati Devi and Tetra Devi. All were residents of Shahpur of Bhojpur.
He told that everyone was going to Guptadham to get a child tonsured and this accident happened. The police is investigating the matter
