Bihar: Angry Protesters Set Fire to School After Four-year-old Boy’s Body Found in Drain

The family alleges that the school administration kept telling the child to go home throughout the day. However, the child was seen once in the CCTV footage, after which he went missing from the class.

There was anger among the people after the dead body of a student was found in a school in Digha police station area of Patna, the capital of Bihar. They created ruckus by blocking the road and also set fire to the school. According to the police, four-year-old Ayush had gone to school on Thursday, but did not return home.

The family alleges that the school administration kept telling the child to go home throughout the day. However, the child was seen once in the CCTV footage, after which he went missing from the class.

After a lot of search, the child’s body was recovered from the gutter of the school at around 2.30 in the night. After the dead body was found, a crowd gathered at the spot.

Angry people created ruckus by blocking the road and set the school building on fire. Police have reached the incident site and are investigating. The relatives of the deceased are calling it murder.

A police officer said on Friday that on May 16, information about a missing child was received from Digha police station area. An FIR has been registered in this regard and during the investigation, the body of the said child has been recovered from near his school. The police is investigating the entire matter.
