Rampur’s MP-MLA court has convicted Abdulla Azam, Azam Khan and his wife Tanzin Fatima in the two birth certificate case. On the orders of the court, the police have taken all three into custody. After some time the court will give its verdict on the punishment.

Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan has received a big blow from Rampur Court. Azam Khan, his wife Tanzin Fatima and son Abdullah Azam have been found guilty in the fake birth certificate case of son Abdullah Azam. The special MP-MLA court of Rampur has given this decision. Actually, this case of fake birth certificate is related to the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Azam Khan’s son Abdullah Azam had contested the elections from Swar assembly seat of Rampur on Samajwadi Party ticket. Abdullah Azam also won this election, but his rival Nawab Kazim Ali filed a petition in the High Court.
Kazim alleged that the age has been hidden in the nomination filed by Abdullah Azam to contest the elections and he is not eligible to contest the elections. Abdullah’s date of birth in the educational certificate is 1 January 1993, whereas on the basis of the birth certificate, his birth is stated as 30 September 1990. After this case reached the High Court, hearing on it started and the birth certificate presented by Abdullah was found to be fake. After this his election from Swar seat was canceled
