आंध्र प्रदेश में बड़ा हादसा, वेंकटेश्वर स्वामी मंदिर में भगदड़ से 9 की मौत, कई घायल
A major accident occurred at a temple in Andhra Pradesh on the occasion of Ekadashi. Nine devotees were reportedly killed and several others injured due to a large crowd gathering at the Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Srikakulam district. The sudden surge of devotees at the temple on Ekadashi caused chaos. Photos and videos of the stampede reveal that women are among the dead. This raises the question: why, whenever unfortunate stampedes occur, are women and children the majority of the victims?
Earlier, a stampede at a rally organized by Tamil Nadu’s Tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay Kumar in Karur claimed the lives of 39 people. Seventeen women and nine children were among the victims. It should be noted that in 2025, stampedes at temples, railway stations, and the Maha Kumbh Mela have claimed numerous lives, with the majority being women and children.
The Maha Kumbh Mela and the New Delhi Railway Station saw the highest number of deaths.

On February 15, a stampede broke out on platforms 14 and 15 of the New Delhi Railway Station, claiming the lives of 18 people, including 10 women and three children.
This year, the celebration of RCB’s victory turned into mourning. Before the start of the victory parade, the crowd suddenly became unruly, leading to a stampede. Eleven people lost their lives and at least 50 were injured.
