Police personnel dragged a woman by her hair in Katni district of Madhya Pradesh. The video of police brutality has now gone viral on social media. This woman and other members of her family were also sent to jail by the police on charges of disturbing the peace. This video is being told about one and a half months old.
This case pertains to Kaudiya village of Sleemanabad police station in Katni district, where on July 6 high tension line of electricity was being laid and Chhaina Bai was protesting. This is because this power line was passing over his house. Along with this, the work of installing tower in his farm was also going on.
It has been told that when Chhaina Bai and her family protested, the police personnel present there behaved brutally with the woman and even dragged her by her hair. This is visible in the video going viral on social media.
Accusing the woman and her family members of disturbing the peace, a case was registered under 151 and sent to jail. The police also confiscated the mobile phones of all the people present there.
Sources say that the police had also deleted the videos of most of the mobiles but there was one mobile which was locked and the police failed to delete the video. Now this video from the same phone has gone viral.
Talking to reporters, Additional Superintendent of Police, Katni, Manoj Kedia told that this is a matter of Tehsil Bahoriband area, where the power company has to install power transmission towers. Land was being acquired. At the same time the woman created a ruckus. The woman was not assaulted, lawful action was taken by the women police. This video is old.
