Army foils infiltration bid along Uri border in J&K; 1 terrorist killed

Security forces on Friday foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, killing a terrorist.

An encounter took place between terrorists and soldiers infiltrating the Line of Control in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. In this encounter, the army killed a terrorist. Regarding this, officers said that security forces on Friday foiled an infiltration attempt on the Line of Control in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, in which a terrorist was killed.

He said alert Army personnel noticed suspicious activities along the Line of Control at Sabura Nala Rustam in Uri area of the district and challenged the infiltrators. However, meanwhile the intruders started firing, to which the soldiers responded and killed one terrorist.

Officials said that on this the infiltrators started firing, to which the soldiers responded appropriately and in this action a terrorist was killed. Let us tell you that yesterday, on the information of suspicious sighting at two different places in Rajouri district, police, army and CRPF personnel jointly launched a search operation.

No success was found till late Thursday evening, but the search is still going on. Security forces started a major search operation around 3 pm on Thursday in Dori Mal forest in Thanna Mandi tehsil.
