Another Nuh violence accused arrested after being shot in leg in police encounter

According to Gurugram police, an illegal country-made pistol with used cartridges and a motorcycle have also been recovered from the possession of the accused.

A police team in Haryana’s Nuh district on Thursday after a brief encounter arrested an accused who was involved in the violence during the Brajmandal Jalabhishek Yatra organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad on July 31. The officers provided this information.

According to the police, following a tip-off, a police team led by Inspector Vimal arrested the accused Osama alias Pahalwan, a resident of Firozpur Namak, Nuh, after an encounter on Thursday. The suspect was shot in the leg during the firing.

“The suspect has been admitted to Nalhar Medical Hospital for further treatment. An illegal country-made pistol with used cartridges and a motorcycle have also been recovered from the possession of the accused,” Gurugram police spokesperson Krishna Kumar said.

The suspect was wanted in the violence that broke out in Nuh’s Nalhar. Police said that the accused was going from Ali Meo towards Ferozepur Namak, when the police team nabbed him after an encounter.

Police said that 61 FIRs have been registered so far in the Nuh violence case and 292 people have been arrested. 12 FIRs have been registered for spreading rumors on social media.

Nuh Superintendent of Police Narendra Bijarnia has appealed to the public not to pay heed to rumors and Nuh police will deal strictly with those spreading rumours.
